The Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex is an global float-adjusted market capitalization weighted index. The Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex is one of the four subindex used in the Dow Jones BRIC 50 Index. Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex companies are taken out of a subset of Dow Jones Wilshire Global Total Market Index companies. Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex companies must trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange or the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. There are 15 companies included in the Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex. The Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex was introduced in June 2006. The top 10 companies of this final ranking will be included in the Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex. The last five companies of the Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex are selected based the remaining largest companies. In addition, at the end of every month, a top 30 list (i.e. ranked by float-adjusted market cap.) of eligible companies to be included in the next Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex reconstitution is published. The Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex is computed using the Laspeyres's formula. Dow Jones BRIC 50 India Subindex is published in real time in both euros and US dollars.
